Luxury Primary Bathroom & Custom Walk-In Closet
Sculpted Serenity | A Kansas City Bathroom Renovation Featuring Architectural Details, Custom Cabinetry, and Thoughtful Design
This stunning Kansas City primary bathroom renovation by Kitchens by Kleweno transforms an outdated space into a luxurious, highly functional retreat. Designed by Sue Shinneman, CKD, the project combines dramatic architectural features, natural stone, and beautifully crafted custom cabinetry to create a sophisticated balance of elegance and everyday comfort.
A striking barrel-vaulted ceiling wrapped in botanical-patterned wallpaper establishes the room’s distinctive character. Sculptural glass pendant lighting draws the eye upward, while an arched window introduces natural light. Underfoot, polished marble flooring with a detailed chevron inlay creates a graceful visual pathway through the space.
The expansive glass-enclosed shower features dramatic bookmatched marble slabs, creating a seamless, artistic focal point. Dark fixtures provide a contemporary contrast to the stone’s natural movement and soft gray veining.
Custom cherry cabinetry adds warmth and rich texture throughout the bathroom. Sculpted, wave-like drawer fronts create a distinctive architectural element, complemented by marble countertops, matte black vessel sinks, and refined metallic hardware. Separate vanity areas provide personalized functionality without compromising the cohesive design.
Custom Walk-In Closet Design
Extending the transformation beyond the bathroom, a spacious custom walk-in closet offers beautifully organized storage tailored to the homeowners’ needs. Floor-to-ceiling shelving, generous hanging areas, and custom cabinetry maximize functionality while maintaining a refined aesthetic.
Rich wood cabinetry, integrated drawer storage, marble-look countertops, and elegant hardware complement the adjoining bathroom. A central storage island and contemporary circular pendant light bring additional convenience and sophistication to the space.
From the dramatic vaulted ceiling to the smallest cabinetry detail, this Kansas City bathroom and closet renovation reflects Kitchens by Kleweno’s commitment to exceptional craftsmanship, thoughtful space planning, and personalized luxury.
