Design on the Rocks: A Sophisticated Bar Built for Entertaining
Brass, walnut, and smoked glass define this elegant bar space—where rich materials and functional details elevate everyday entertaining.
This custom bar from the Tablerock Project brings the drama of high design into a space made for gathering. Built to echo the home’s refined material palette, it’s an effortless extension of the kitchen’s warmth and geometry.
The showpiece? A thick walnut bar top with sculptural back-beveled edges, anchoring the space with craftsmanship and character. Floating above, sleek brass shelving offers both storage and sparkle, while varied wood angles and strategic lighting in the ceiling soffit create an energetic, architectural rhythm.
On either side, black cabinetry with smoked glass doors and bronze back-painted bifolds adds depth and shine, carrying the metallic palette through every surface. Matching bronze glass is also used in the backsplash and under-counter beverage units for a seamless look.
A Cambria black quartz countertop and matching wall panel behind the center section provide a rich, moody backdrop—perfect for an evening cocktail. Integrated appliances, including a glass washer and beverage fridge, make entertaining effortless.
Refined but relaxed, this bar proves that function doesn’t have to come at the expense of beauty.
